SkyLerb is an independent flight comparison site
We help you search and compare fares from airlines and travel partners. We do not sell tickets, operate flights, check you in, or manage reservations. When you choose a fare, you leave SkyLerb and complete payment on the provider shown in the results.

Getting started — your first search
The homepage search bar is the fastest way to compare flights across providers:
- 1Open skylerb.com and find the search form at the top of the page.
- 2Type your departure city or airport — pick the suggestion that matches the airport you can actually reach.
- 3Type your destination the same way.
- 4Select a departure date on the calendar. For round trips, add a return date.
- 5Set passengers (adults, children, infants) if the form shows those controls.
- 6Press Search and wait for results — loading can take 10–30 seconds depending on route and partners.
- 7Scan the list for price, total duration, stops, and airline. Click the offer you want.
- 8You will be redirected to the booking site — finish there, not on SkyLerb.
One-way vs round trip
One-way searches show single-direction pricing. Round-trip searches often show bundled return pricing that may be cheaper than two one-ways — try both if you are flexible. Multi-city trips may need separate one-way searches unless the partner site supports multi-city booking after redirect.
Search tips — find better fares
Small changes to how you search can surface meaningfully different prices:
- Use the official airport code when you know it (JFK, LAX, ORD) — results are more accurate than city names with multiple airports.
- If your city has several airports, search each one or pick the closest — fares can differ significantly between airports in the same metro area.
- For international trips, confirm whether results show the full itinerary including connections — nonstop vs one-stop can change price and travel time.
- Traveling with infants or children? Set the correct passenger count before searching so per-person pricing is closer to what you will pay at checkout.
- Basic economy fares often restrict seat selection, carry-on bags, and changes — compare total trip cost including bags before choosing the cheapest row.
- Red-eye and mid-week departures are often cheaper than Friday afternoon or Sunday evening peaks.
- Searching twice a few hours apart can surface different prices — airlines adjust inventory frequently.
- Clear your search and start fresh if you change dates or passengers — leftover fields sometimes cause confusing results.
The cheapest fare is not always the best value. Add bag fees, seat fees, and change penalties before you decide. A slightly higher fare with a free carry-on can cost less overall than basic economy plus bags.
Understanding your results
Each row in the results list is an offer from a travel partner, not a ticket you hold yet:
- Headline price is usually per adult before optional extras — taxes may be included or shown separately depending on the partner.
- Total travel time includes layovers — a 18-hour trip with a long connection may be cheaper but harder than a nonstop.
- Multiple airlines on one itinerary often means codeshare or partner tickets — verify the operating carrier for each leg.
- Some prices are cached — if a fare fails at checkout, refresh the search; seats may have sold out.
- Currency may convert at checkout based on the partner site and your card issuer.
- SkyLerb may rank or sort offers for relevance; we do not control inventory or final pricing.
Before you click an offer, check:
- 1Departure and arrival airports — some listings use secondary airports farther from the city.
- 2Number of stops and minimum connection time.
- 3Whether baggage is included (carry-on and checked).
- 4Which website will sell the ticket — airline direct vs OTA affects support and changes later.
Booking & redirects — what happens next
- 1Click the flight or price you want from the results list.
- 2Your browser opens a new tab or redirects to an airline or online travel agency.
- 3The partner site reloads the itinerary — confirm dates, times, and passenger count match what you picked.
- 4Enter legal names exactly as on passports or government ID.
- 5Add bags, seats, insurance, or other extras if you need them — skipping now can cost more at the airport.
- 6Enter payment on the partner site. SkyLerb never sees your card number.
- 7Save the confirmation email and screenshot the booking reference (PNR).
- 8Download the airline app and add your trip using the confirmation number for check-in and alerts.
If confirmation does not arrive
- 1Wait 15–30 minutes — some OTAs send email in batches.
- 2Search all inboxes and spam for the merchant name on your card statement.
- 3Log in to the partner website with the email you used at checkout.
- 4Call the partner support line with your payment amount, date, and last four digits of your card.
Before you pay — final checklist
- Passenger names match travel documents — no nicknames unless they appear on the ID.
- Dates and times are correct — note AM/PM and time zone changes on international routes.
- Airports are correct — ORD vs MDW, JFK vs EWR, etc.
- Fare rules explain change and refund policies — screenshot them if non-refundable.
- Baggage allowance matches what you plan to bring.
- Contact email and phone on the booking are ones you monitor through travel day.
- Total price on the payment screen matches what you expected including all fees.

Common scenarios — step by step
Real situations travelers run into. Follow the steps for your case:
Situation: SkyLerb showed one price, but checkout on the partner site was higher.
- 1This is common — inventory and taxes refresh between search and checkout.
- 2Compare the final total on the partner page, not only the headline fare.
- 3Try the same flight on the airline's own site to see if pricing matches.
- 4If the jump is extreme, go back and run a new search or pick the next-best option.
Situation: You were charged but did not receive a confirmation within an hour.
- 1Check spam, promotions, and all email inboxes tied to the address you used.
- 2Log in to the airline or OTA website with the same email — the booking may be in your account.
- 3Find the merchant name on your card statement and call that company's support with the charge date and amount.
- 4Do not book again until you confirm whether the first purchase completed — duplicate bookings are hard to unwind.
Situation: A passenger name was misspelled or does not match the passport.
- 1Contact the airline or agency that issued the ticket immediately — not SkyLerb.
- 2Minor typos are sometimes fixable for free; legal name changes may require reissue fees.
- 3Have your PNR, passport copy, and the exact spelling ready.
- 4Airlines can deny boarding if names do not match travel documents — fix this before travel day.
Situation: Your plans changed after you bought a ticket.
- 1Open your confirmation and read the fare rules — refundable vs non-refundable matters.
- 2Use the manage-booking tool on the issuer's website or call their support line.
- 3Airline credits and refunds follow the seller's policy, not SkyLerb's.
- 4If you bought through an OTA, changes often must go through the OTA first.
Situation: You arrived late or a delay caused you to miss a leg.
- 1Go to the airline's airport desk or call their operations line immediately.
- 2The operating carrier decides rebooking options — standby, fees, and hotel vouchers vary by cause and fare type.
- 3Keep boarding passes and delay notices — they help if you claim compensation later.
Situation: Your checked bag did not arrive or arrived broken.
- 1Report it at the airline's baggage office in the arrival airport before you leave — do not skip this step.
- 2Keep bag tags, boarding passes, and photos of damage.
- 3Track the claim through the airline's baggage portal; compensation rules differ by carrier and route.
Situation: You see two similar charges for one trip.
- 1Check whether one charge is a temporary authorization that will drop off in a few days.
- 2Compare merchant names — sometimes the airline and the OTA both appear during processing.
- 3If two confirmed bookings exist, contact the seller listed on each confirmation to cancel the duplicate.
- 4Your bank can help with disputes only after you have tried the merchant's support channel.
Situation: You need mobility help, oxygen, or other accommodations.
- 1Request special assistance directly with the operating airline — ideally at booking or at least 48 hours before departure.
- 2Arrive early on travel day and confirm the request at the check-in desk.
- 3SkyLerb cannot add medical notes to airline systems after you book elsewhere.

- Clarifying that we are not the airline — and pointing you to the right issuer.
Frequently asked questions
Does SkyLerb sell airline tickets?
No. SkyLerb is a metasearch engine. We display offers; airlines and OTAs sell tickets and collect payment on their own sites.
Can you change, cancel, or refund my flight?
No. Only the issuer on your confirmation can modify a ticket. We do not have your PNR in our systems.
- 1Find your confirmation email.
- 2Note the selling company (airline or OTA) and PNR.
- 3Visit their help center or call the number on the confirmation.
- 4Have ticket number, passenger names, and payment details ready.
Is SkyLerb affiliated with airlines shown in results?
No. Airline names and logos identify flights available for comparison. No endorsement or agency relationship is implied.
Why is the price different after I click through?
Fares are dynamic. Between our search snapshot and the partner checkout, seats may sell, taxes update, or currency convert differently. Always treat the checkout total as final.
Is the cheapest result always available?
Not guaranteed. Partners sometimes show cached availability. If checkout fails, rerun search or pick the next fare — do not assume the list is a live seat map.
Should I book with the airline or an OTA?
Airline direct often simplifies changes and day-of-travel support. OTAs sometimes bundle deals or multi-airline itineraries. Compare fare rules and who you will call if plans change.
Can I hold a fare on SkyLerb without paying?
No. Holds and 24-hour free cancellation (where offered) happen on the partner site after redirect — check their policies during checkout.
Do you store my passport or payment details?
Payment is entered on partner sites. We may store cookies and usage data to run the website — see Privacy Policy.
Can I search for someone else?
Yes — you can search any route. Passenger names are entered on the booking site. Ensure the traveler's details match their ID at checkout.
Are taxes and fees included in listed prices?
It varies by partner and route. Some show all-in totals; others add taxes at checkout. Review the full breakdown before paying.
The search widget is blank or spinning — what now?
- 1Hard refresh the page (Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R).
- 2Disable ad blockers and privacy extensions for skylerb.com.
- 3Try incognito/private mode or another browser.
- 4Switch from Wi‑Fi to mobile data — some networks block travel scripts.
- 5Update your browser to the latest version.
- 6Email support@skylerb.com with device, browser version, route searched, and a screenshot.
I clicked the wrong flight — can SkyLerb undo it?
If you already paid on a partner site, contact that seller immediately. If you only clicked but did not pay, close the tab and search again — no booking was made on SkyLerb.
Does SkyLerb charge a service fee?
Searching on SkyLerb is free. Any service or booking fees appear on the partner checkout page — read the total before you confirm payment.
Troubleshooting the website
- Results never load — disable blockers, retry, or email us with your route and browser.
- Wrong airport suggested — type the 3-letter code (e.g. SFO) instead of the city name.
- Calendar will not open — try desktop site or another device; clear cache if stuck.
- Redirect opened a blank tab — allow pop-ups for skylerb.com and retry the click.
- Prices look unrealistic — verify on the partner site; report obvious errors with screenshots.
- Mobile layout issues — rotate device or use desktop for complex multi-passenger searches.
Travel safety & security tips
- Book only on HTTPS pages with a recognizable airline or agency domain after leaving SkyLerb.
- Never wire money or pay by gift card for flights — legitimate sellers take standard card payments on their site.
- SkyLerb support will not ask for your full card number or password by email.
- Verify visa and passport validity for international trips — comparison sites do not check immigration rules.
- Arrive at the airport early for international flights — documentation checks take time.
Glossary
Metasearch
A comparison site like SkyLerb that shows offers from many sellers. You compare here; you pay on the airline or agency site.
OTA (Online Travel Agency)
A website that sells tickets from multiple airlines (Expedia-style). Your confirmation comes from the OTA even if the flight is operated by an airline.

Codeshare
A flight marketed by one airline but operated by another. Check which airline operates the flight for check-in and baggage rules.
Basic economy
A lower fare class with more restrictions — often limited or no free carry-on, no changes, and back-of-plane seat assignment.
Layover / connection
A stop between origin and destination. Allow enough connection time — especially for international arrivals that require immigration.
Fare rules
The contract for your ticket — change fees, refundability, and no-show policies. Read these on the booking site before you pay.
Travel credit / voucher
Airline-issued credit from a canceled or changed trip. Usually has an expiration date and may only work on that airline.
